Cashier/Customer Service

Job Location: Leechburg, PA

Primary Function:

Cashiers perform all point-of-sale functions, including recording and collecting for customer transactions.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must have an understanding of basic math, and have the ability to count, add, and subtract efficiently.
Must have an understanding and the ability to operate a personal computer.
Must be able to operate all required equipment specific to assigned department

Essential Functions:

Effectively communicate with customers, management, and co-workers.
Receive incoming phone calls
Make phone calls to customers and vendors
Use store intercom to alert various departments of phone calls
Operate all point-of-sale equipment, including cash register and terminal with sufficient speed and accuracy
Visually verify the contents of carts and containers.
Promote the ‘Best Reward Program”
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the front end of the store
Keep customer service area clean
Sweep and mop as needed
Retrieve carts from the parking lot
Monitor outdoor trash cans
Read and comprehend distributed materials
